(Ottawa, ON) — Carleton University Department of Recreation and Athletics is pleased to announce the call for nominations for the 2016 Ravens Hall of Fame Induction Class.

After an eleven-year hiatus following the 2003 Hall of Fame Class inductions, Carleton relaunched the new Ravens Hall of Fame across from the Ravens’ Nest in Alumni Hall in 2014.

Carleton’s Class of 2014 – the most recent Ravens Hall of Fame inductees – included: Marc Lavoie (ATHLETE-Fencing), Waneek Horn-Miller (ATHLETE-Water Polo), Osvaldo Jeanty (ATHLETE-Basketball), and Paul Correy (BUILDER-Hockey).

2016 Ravens Hall of Fame Nominations

For this year’s nominations, any Carleton Ravens teammates, coaches, alumni and community members can nominate an Athlete or Builder for induction into the Ravens Hall of Fame.

To be considered for nomination, candidates must have demonstrated excellence in athletic achievement while at Carleton, and must have competed prior to the 2010-2011 season.

All nominations for the 2016 Hall of Fame will stand for the 2016 and 2018 nomination period. Following the 2016 Hall of Fame induction, all nominees who were not selected to the 2014 Hall of Fame may be re-nominated for future consideration.

The 2016 Hall of Fame nomination period closes on April 15, 2016.
