Quick Facts:

  • The Ravens faced UQTR twice in the regular season; the first game was a spectacular 6-3 road win in November, the second game was a 3-2 OT shootout loss in the last weekend of the regular season
  • UQTR’s Guillaume Asselin and Tommy Giroux (88 PTS combined) were the highest scoring duo in the CIS this year; Carleton’s Brett Welychka and Mike McNamee (85 PTS) finished the season as the second highest scoring duo in the country
  • Carleton was defeated by UQTR in last year’s OUA East semi-final in a two-game sweep, but the Ravens will look to avenge last season’s playoff exit with a trip to the Queen’s Cup this time around

Windsor Lancers (15-5)

  • The Lancers have won five straight CIS National Championships (2011-2015)
  • Carleton’s Heather Lindsay and Windsor’s Emily Prevost shared the OUA regular season double-double title in 2015-16 as both recorded 11 each

Laurier Golden Hawks (9-11)

  • Carleton has defeated Laurier twice this season; a 69-46 win on Feb.19 and a 73-65 victory at the Metro Glebe Tournament in October
  • Laurier was 3-10 against 2015-16 OUA playoff teams in the regular season and two of those losses came to Windsor

Brock Badgers

  • In the only match-up between the two sides this season, Carleton defeated Brock 90-65 in St. Catharines, ON in February
  • Ravens forward Dani Elgadi finished the OUA regular season ranked 6th in scoring (19.9 PPG) and T-1st in rebounding (11.7 RPG)

Laurier Golden Hawks

  • Carleton took down the Hawks 97-60 just two weekends ago in a one-sided decision at the Ravens’ Nest
  •  Laurier’s coach Peter Campbell, who has been at the helm of the Hawks bench for 16 years, could be coaching in his final CIS game in Wednesday’s playoff against Brock. Campbell also coached at Laurentian (’85-’00) and women’s basketball at Western (’83-’85)
