Ottawa, Ont. (Sept. 22, 2025) - A blast of offence was exactly what the doctor ordered for the Carleton Ravens on Saturday, taking a 35-12 halftime lead en route to a 56-19 victory.
The Ravens welcomed the Sherbrooke Vert & Or for the first time in two seasons and wasted little time shocking the visitors with a try just 3 minutes into the contest. Zoe Nield offloaded to Fatima Ramadan in a 1-on-1 situation on the right, and the speedy Ravens winger made no mistake, bursting in to open the scoring.
In the 17th minute, Carleton would swing another ball wide, and Claire File would find Ramadan in another one-on-one situation. Fatima would break the lone tackle attempt, rolling her way in for her second score of the half.
Carleton's pack would earn the third try of the afternoon with Sierra Hasse finishing a multiple-phased attack to take a 21-0 lead in the opening 24 minutes. Hasse would add her second of the afternoon just three minutes later to put the game out of reach in the first half-hour of the game.
The Vert & Or responded with two tries of their own before half, only to have Carleton respond seconds before the whistle. With a 35-12 first-half lead, the Ravens weren't done.
With Marie Pion off on a yellow card, the Ravens took advantage of a shorthanded Vert & Or, with Ember Warren plunging in for the score. Warren would add her second of the half before David Luong would sub out his veterans with the lead set at 56-12.
Sherbrooke would score again late, but it wouldn't be enough to earn a bonus point as Carleton grabbed a crucial five points in the standings.
