October 19, 2025 - After taking Carleton of business against Trent in the first round of the OUA Playoffs on Wednesday, Adam Ross played the hero for the Carleton Ravens in extra time Saturday night to help them advance to the OUA Semifinals.
The Ravens were clinical on Wednesday night at TAAG Park, controlling pace and possession almost the entire evening against the visiting Trent Excallibur. Caden Tomy scored in the fifteenth minute and Marek Achadinha knocked home a rebound five minutes later to make the lead 2-0. Unwilling to bend a knee, Oliver Parratt scored for Trent in the 35th minute to send the game to half 2-1.
Carleton continued to carry the play in the second half but couldn't extend the lead until coach Marcelo Plada went to the bench, bringing on Mohammed Bouzidi. As he's done so many times in his career, Bouzidi instantly added a spark to the Ravens' attack, sprinting past a Trent defender and blasting a shot past Owen Schultz for the 3-1 win.
With the victory, the Ravens loaded the bus and headed to Downsview Park, where they met TMU in the OUA Quarterfinals for the second straight season. After falling last year, the Ravens were keen to rewrite history. In classic matchup, the two teams battled defensively throughout the evening, conceding only a combined ten shots throughout regulation.
Locked in a scoreless tie after 90 minutes, the first 15 minutes of extra time solved nothing, leaving the two teams facing the prospect of penalties. The Ravens would get the only shot on target in extra time midway through the second 15 minutes when Adam Ross took to the air to head home a one-touch volley from Yusuf Osman for the lead.
Carleton would ward off a late challenge from TMU and held on to advance to the OUA Semifinals, where they will face York on Saturday.
