The Carleton Ravens women's soccer team will face the Ottawa Gee-Gees on Wednesday night after splitting the final weekend of the regular season.
The Ravens took advantage of a TMU Bold team that was lacking a bit of regular firepower on Friday night, exploding for six goals, led by a hat-trick performance from Lauren Illman.
The Ravens' Sunday afternoon regular-season finale was not so smooth. After an emotional senior ceremony, the Queen's Gaels quickly took advantage of Carleton, jumping out to a 1-0 lead just three minutes into the match. Seema Sakran would score for the Gaels just before the half, and Brinley Bjornson added another in the 60th minute to put the game out of reach.
Despite the loss, the Ravens finished fourth in the OUA East and will host the Ottawa Gee-Gees in round one of the OUA playoffs on Wednesday, October 15, at 6:00 PM.
