Hamilton, Ont. (November 6, 2025) - Carleton Ravens Tristan Ready, Xavier Malone, Arthur Bedard and Luigi Zagaria were all honoured Thursday at the OUA's annual award luncheon in Hamilton. Ready, Malone and Bedard were all named OUA All-Stars while Zagaria was honoured for his community involvement with the 2025 Ross Jackson Award.
For his community-first attitude and commitment to excellence, Ravens safety Luigi Zagaria was awarded the OUA's 2025 Russ Jackson Award. A computer science student with an 11.19 CGPA, Zagaria leads by example in the Ravens locker room, dedicating hours of his time to local community initiatives, including Relay For Life, the Boys and Girls Club and as a member of the Sons of Pericles. A leader in the community, Zagaria has remained steadfast in his commitments to the community and Ravens football while overcoming injury and the loss of his father.
First-team all-star Tristan Ready headlines a trio of Ravens named OUA All-Stars. The Ravens' lone First-Team member, Ready, was second in the OUA with 868 receiving yards despite being fifth in the conference in receptions. Averaging over 108 yards per game, Ready was third in the OUA with 20.2 yards per catch and fourth in the conference with 6 touchdowns. Ready capped off the 2025 season by recording his second 200+ yard game when he hauled in 11 catches for 206 yards and 2 touchdowns against McMaster.
Ready finished the season third in U SPORTS in yards (868), yards per game (108.5) and yards per catch (20.2). Tristan proved to be as productive as anyone in U SPORTS, ranking among the top three accolades despite being ninth in receptions with 43. His 6 touchdowns also finished sixth in the country.
Recording 34.5 more tackles than his next nearest teammate, Xavier Malone was a force for the Carleton Ravens. The Second-Team All-Star led the Ravens in single tackles (49), assists (26), sacks (4.0) and tackles for loss (5.5). The second overall tackler in U SPORTS, Malone led the OUA by 7 solo tackles and 8.5 total tackles.
Xavier's 42 yards of tackles for loss ranked first in the OUA and third in U SPORTS, while his 4.0 sacks were eighth in the conference, and tied for thirteenth nationally. Xavier's two forced fumbles also ranked fourth in U SPORTS and tied for the OUA lead.
Ravens All-Rookie team representative Arthur Bedard made the most of his time in a busy Ravens backfield. Bedard's best performance came on the road at York, where he had 4 carries for 9 yards and 1 reception for 30. Bedard also played special teams for the Ravens and recorded his first OUA tackle at Waterloo on September 6.
