The annual Carleton Ravens Varsity Council Toy Drive once again brought joy to families across Ottawa in 2025.
The student-athlete-led fundraiser has become an integral part of the holiday season at Carleton, with members of all varsity and varsity club teams coming together to raise funds for the Boys and Girls Club. In total, the Ravens raised over $1,400 for the local organization, donating more than 55 toys to children in the community.
Originally born into the department's calendar as a Teddy Bear Toss, the annual event evolved after new safety measures at the Advanced Capital Ice House saw netting cover the entire crowd side. 2025 marked the fifth consecutive year that the members of Varsity Council have organized the toy drive.
