Carleton Ravens football alumni Keaton Bruggeling (St. Catharine's, Ont.) and Jay Dearborn (Yarker, Ont.) will represent Canada at the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026.
For Dearborn, this will be his second experience at the Olympics after racing in Beijing. The veteran bobsledder recently made the switch to piloting. A three-year standout with the Ravens, he ended his career with 50.5 tackles and 7 interceptions before setting records at the CFL Draft Combine. Dearborn has reached the podium 13 times on the North American Cup this season, including one victory.
Bruggelling will make his first appearance at the games after a strong season on the World Cup circuit. The former standout wide receiver at Carleton, Bruggeling, was most recently signed with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. Bruggeling has two top-ten finishes on the world tour this year to go along with a pair of podiums earlier in the season on the North American Cup circuit.
The Olympic bobsleigh training heats begin on February 12, with competition getting underway on February 16. Four-man competition begins on Saturday, February 21, 2026.
