The Carleton Ravens women's basketball team looks to build some momentum when they head on the road to face York (9-5) and McMaster (4-11).
The Ravens are coming off their fourth loss of the year, to TMU (13-1), facing a Lions team that suffered a lopsided loss to Queen's last game. Before their loss to Queen's, York had picked up three straight wins to open wins over Toronto, TMU, and Ontario Tech to open the new year.
Saturday, the Ravens face a rebuilding McMaster team coming off a win at Nipissing. Play in the paint could dictate this matchup. McMaster is fifth in defensive rebounding while Carleton is first in that category and fifth in offensive boards per game. Discipline will also be a factor in Saturday's contest as McMaster is among the conference leaders in trips to the foul line.
After shooting the ball well against Ontario Tech and Toronto, Carleton cooled down against TMU, shooting just 25.0%. The Ravens have made their money in the paint this season. A change of style has seen the Ravens hold one of the lowest three-point attempt averages per game.
