Carleton Ravens basketball star Kyana-Jade Poulin and OUA curling all-star Owen Nicholls have been named Athlete of the Week presented by Gabriel Pizza.
Each week, Carleton Athletics names the Athletes of the Week as presented by Gabriel Pizza, the official pizza of the Carleton Ravens.
Ravens guard Kyana-Jade Poulin set a Capital Hoops Classic women's record with 28 points while dropping a triple-double Friday night. Dominating the crosstown rivalry for the second straight year, Poulin had 5 threes in the contest as the Ravens captured their fifth straight title. Not to be outdone, she would drop 17 points on Sunday afternoon, while playing just 24 minutes as the Ravens beat Brock to win their sixth in a row.
Ravens skip Owen Nicholls led Carleton back to the OUA Championship match, earning the team's second consecutive OUA medal. An OUA All-Star, Nicholls skipped the Carleton rink as they qualified for the U SPORTS & CCAA Curling Championships in Regina, February 22-26
