The Carleton Ravens have named three Athletes of the Week, as Jacqueline Urban, Kyana-Jade Poulin and Aubrey Dorey-Havens all earned the weekly honour.
Each week, Carleton Athletics names the Athletes of the Week as presented by Gabriel Pizza, the official pizza of the Carleton Ravens.
Ravens guard Jacqueline Urban reached 1,000 career points in the fourth quarter of Friday night's game at Laurentian. Urban had 10 points, 5 rebounds and 2 steals. She followed up on the milestone with 14 points, 15 rebounds and 5 steals on Saturday.
Twinning as they have throughout their career, Kyana-Jade Poulin joined Urban in the 1,000-point club on Friday. Poulin had 11 rebounds and 22 points in Friday's contest before scoring 35 points and hauling in 9 rebounds in Saturday's come-from-behind victory.
Dorey-Havens passed 750 career points on Saturday night, scoring 18 points in only 21 minutes of work against Nipissing. The Ravens guard also added 6 assists in his limited playing time. Friday, Dorey-Havens dropped 25 points and collected 5 rebounds as the Ravens split their weekend road trip. Aubrey's 99 regular-season assists tied for 7th in recorded history.
Beyond the successful weekend on the hardcourt, a few other Ravens provided dazzling performances, with Avery Krawchuk scoring a goal and an assist for the women's hockey team. Felix Bedard had a four-point week for the men's team, scoring a goal and two assists on Friday, to go along with an assist recorded in Wednesday's come-from-behind win over McGill.
