OTTAWA (Feb. 23, 2026) - The Carleton Ravens are off to the OUA semifinals after an 82-62 win over the Guelph Gryphons.
Carleton opened the night on a 7-0 run before Guelph rallied back to make it a two-point game, but after the Ravens rebuilt their lead at the line Abany Deng put back a Jacqueline Urban miss to make the lead 7.
Leading by 5 after 10 minutes, the Ravens were up by 11 less than two minutes into the second after Urban drove the lane for an easy layup. Jacqueline Urban led all Ravens with 11 points, while Kyana-Jade Poulin and Abany Deng each had 9 as Carleton led 38-25 at the break.
Poulin nailed an early three to help the Ravens fend off a pushback from the Gryphons, before Tyanne Matosas-Adderley drained a three while being fouled for the rare 4-point play. Christina Morra and Alexis Wright would combine to cut into the lead by 6 halfway into the third before Arek Akeg responded with a huge three coming out of a Ravens timeout. By the end of the third, the Ravens led by 18.
The fourth was fairly even, with Carleton distributing points and minutes throughout their lineup. Arek Akeg and Kyana-Jade Poulin led the Ravens with four points in the fourth while sealing the victory.
Poulin led all Ravens in the win with 28 points and 6 assists, while Abany Deng had 9 points and 9 rebounds. Jacqueline Urban (13), Tyanne Matosas-Adderley and Arek Akeg all had double-digit points.
The Ravens will now head to the ARC to face Queen's on Wednesday, February 25, at 7:00 PM. The Gaels beat York 74-48 in their quarterfinal matchup on Saturday.
