Guillaume Payen Boucard (Montreal, QC) was the most valuable player in Carleton’s three-game sweep of their opponents at the 2015 House-Laughton Tournament this past weekend. The fifth-year guard played valuable minutes against Acadia, Toronto and Bishop’s to help Carleton capture their 15th straight House-Laughton title.
Boucard averaged 18 points and 6 rebounds per contest on his way to earning the MVP award. Boucard led the Ravens in scoring in two of the three games, while providing athleticism, hustle and leadership at both ends of the court.
Guillaume is working his way towards an Economics degree from Carleton.
Briana Yerbury (Montreal, QC) was a force on the field for the Ravens rugby team in their 37-20 victory over the Sherbrooke Vert et Or on the weekend. Yerbury was effective on both sides of the ball as she led by example to help give her side its second consecutive win to close out the season.
With her team up 27-20 in the 66th minute, Yerbury took it upon herself to deliver the final blow against the Vert et Or. The 5’7″ back gained possession of the ball and kicked it ahead of the entire Sherbrooke side before outrunning the opposition to regain control and touch it down over the try line to complete the highlight-reel play.
Briana is completing a graduate degree in Development Projects and Planning at Carleton’s Norman Patterson School of International Affairs.
