Carleton Ravens men’s basketball player Cam Smythe is this week’s TSN 1200 Male Athlete of the Week.
Smythe, a fifth-year center, had a string of solid performances in Carleton’s visit to Toronto over the weekend.
In Friday’s 97-53 blowout win against the Varsity Blues, Smythe saw 18 minutes of floor time, scoring seven points (3-5 FG) and grabbing three rebounds.
The following night against top-ten ranked Ryerson, Smythe had one of his best games of the campaign, leading the Ravens to an 84-61 victory with a team-high 18 points (6-14 FG), eight rebounds and a block in 23 minutes of action.
Cam, a 6-foot-11 native of Vancouver, is pursuing an Arts degree at Carleton University.

Traer, a 6-foot-1 forward, stuffed the stat sheet in Carleton’s two road wins over Toronto and Ryerson on the weekend, making an impact at both ends of the court.
The fifth-year senior scored seven points (3-7 FG) while adding three rebounds, four assists and three blocks in Carleton’s 72-54 win over Toronto.
Going up against Ryerson on Saturday evening, Traer continued her excellent play with 11 points (4-10 FG), four assists, three steals with a staggering five blocks in a team-high 35 minutes of floor time.
Catherine, a native of Chelsea, QC, is studying a Master of Arts in Political Science at Carleton University.
