Men’s basketball forward, Kevin Churchill, played a big role in helping the Carleton Ravens improve to 17-0 this weekend, scoring a combined 34 points and collecting 10 rebounds in two games. In Friday night’s 90-48 victory over the York Lions, Churchill scored 16 points, pulled down six rebounds and recorded three steals. He followed that with an 18-point performance on Saturday, going an impressive 7-for-9 from the field, as the Ravens took a 109-74 victory over the Laurentian Voyageurs. He also added four rebounds and three assists in the win.
Fourth year Carleton Ravens women’s basketball forward, Kendall MacLeod, scored a combined 38 points and collected 14 rebounds to help her team pick up two important victories this weekend. The Brockville, Ont. native scored a game-high 23 points and grabbed eight rebounds in Carleton’s 98-32 victory over the York Lions on Friday night. She also added four assists in the win. On Saturday, she scored 15 points and recorded six rebounds in the Ravens’ 65-39 win over the Laurentian Lady Vees. MacLeod currently leads the Ravens in rebounds with an average of 6.6 per game and is second overall with 12.5 points per game.
