Carleton Ravens men’s hockey player Michael McNamee (Perth, ON) is the TSN 1200 Male Athlete of the Week.
McNamee, Carleton’s team captain, scored 2 goals and added 2 assists in a rare back-to-back set against the Windsor Lancers (November 11 and 12) at the Ice House over the weekend.
The 6-foot-2, 197-pound fourth-year forward currently leads U Sports in scoring with 24 points (8 G/16 A) in 12 games.
Michael, a former QMJHL player with the Quebec Ramparts and Sherbrooke Phoenix, is enrolled in Psychology at Carleton.
Carleton Ravens women’s hockey player Jennifer Semkowski (London, ON) is the TSN 1200 Female Athlete of the Week.
Semkowski, who has been a key figure in Carleton’s success early in the 2016-17 campaign, was the top defenceman against the Ottawa Gee-Gees on November 14, providing an assist on the Ravens’ only goal.
The 5-foot-9 sophomore has shown consistent performances this season, displaying skill and confidence beyond her years.
Jennifer, a product of the London Jr. Devilettes, studies in Carleton’s Criminology and Criminal Justice program.
