As a team, the inaugural edition of Carleton Ravens’ football team featured a roster primarily made of first year players.

Every one of them contributed in their own way whether it was on offence, defence or special teams.

On Tuesday, November 5 the OUA announced its 2013 all rookie list with five Ravens players getting the nod.

LB Leon Cenerini (La Salle, MB) led the CIS in tackles with 69 and an average of 8.6 per game.

R Kyle Van Wynsberghe (Delhi, ON) led the Ravens with 37 receptions for a total of 501 yards and 3 touchdowns. His longest catch was for 46 yards.

R Nate Behar (London, ON) hauled in 34 catches for 418 yards

OG Eric Fowler (London, ON) was a force on the offensive line making key blocks and opening lanes for the Carleton running backs.

DB Tunde Adeleke had 39 tackles and retuned a missed field goal 129 yards for a touchdown in the 2013 Panda Game against uOttawa.

“They are all outstanding players and more were left off,” said Ravens head coach, Steve Sumarah.

“Leon led the country in tackles and forced fumbles. Kyle and Nate were leaders on our passing attack both were dominant catching over 30 balls each.

Eric Fowler started at guard all year and didn’t miss a snap.

Tunde played all five positions in the secondary and as a returner having the most exciting play of the year in the CIS. We have a special crop for sure.”

The all-rookie list is designed to identify exceptional freshmen and to give recognition for their outstanding performances.

The 2013 OUA all-rookies were selected by the OUA coaches through a nomination and vote process.
