For a second consecutive season, Ravens Alpine skier Hannah Schmidt (Dunrobin, ON) has been chosen as an RSEQ First-Team All-Star after posting impressive results throughout the conference racing circuit.

Selected as the 2016 Rookie of the Year and an RSEQ All-Star following her first university campaign, Schmidt continued to blaze down courses located across the Laurentian Mountains this season. From January to March, she made four trips to the podium in eight races, which gave her the third most top-three finishes in the conference.

Schmidt, a second-year criminology major, earned two third-place results during the first half of the schedule – one at Le Relais and another at Mont Sainte-Marie –  topped by back-to-back second-place finishes at Stoneham in the final two events of the season.

It has been a very memorable year for Schmidt, who also represented Canada at the 2017 FISU Winter Universiade from January 29 to February 8 in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
