BURLINGTON, ON —  The stars of Ontario University Athletics (OUA) women’s basketball will be out on Saturday, April 29 as York University plays host to the tenth annual OUA Women’s Basketball All-Star game.

The Carleton Ravens basketball program, which captured its first OUA Critelli Cup championship and a bronze medal at the national championships in Victoria, will be represented at the conference showcase by forward Elizabeth Leblanc (London, ON), who will be the lone Raven competing at this year’s event.

Leblanc, who will be entering her fourth season at Carleton in the fall, is coming off her second straight OUA Second-Team All-Star season, averaging career-highs of 11.7 points and 6.1 rebounds while playing a team-high 30.2 minutes per game in the regular season. A former OUA All-Rookie selection, Leblanc shot 41.4 per cent from the floor including 39.5 percent from beyond the arc in her junior campaign, both of which were career-best numbers.

Leblanc becomes the ninth Raven selected to play in the OUA All-Star Game,  joining an elite list of current and former Carleton stars to be picked for the annual classic.

The game is scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m. from the Tait McKenzie Centre, home of the York Lions.  Admission to the event is free.  If you can’t make it to the Tait McKenzie Centre, you can catch all the action live on OUA.tv as former OUA All-Stars Kelcey Wright and Mariah Nunes will have the call.
