Can-Am Shootout Preview | NCAA lands at the Nest in August

The Can-Am Shootout is only a few weeks away! If you’re unfamiliar with the NCAA teams making the trip to the capital, here are some quick hits to bring you up to speed.

Cincinnati Bearcats

The Beartcats are coming off a banner regular season campaign in 2017/18. They surpassed 30 wins with a 31-5 regular season total, winning 16 games in their own conference.

Ole Miss Rebels

The Rebels will land in Ottawa with a fresh start on their minds. 2017-18 was not kind to Ole Miss as they finished below .500 for the first time in the last 5 years.

Maryland Eastern Shore Hawks

The Hawks are the only team in the Can-Am Shootout who have never made a March Madness appearance (besides the Ravens of course, but we’ll leave that for the fans to discuss). They’ll be looking to get back to double digit wins this year after posting a 7-25 record in 2017/18.
