PETERBOROUGH, Ontario – The Ravens’ offense kept rolling this afternoon as they put up 7 goals against the Trent Excalibur in a 7-0 victory, their 4th consecutive win of the season.

It was a full team effort on the offensive side of the ball as the Ravens saw goals from several different players. Dario Conte (Ottawa, ON) opened the scoring for the Ravens with his 2nd of the season. Jimi Aribido (Port Harcourt, Nigeria) added his 3rd marker of the weekend. Other notable contributions came from Jeremy Aweya (Kanata, ON) and Scott Mazzotta (Ottawa, ON) as they broke through with their first goals of the year.

As hot as the Ravens’ scoring attack is, their defensive play should not be overlooked. The Ravens have surrendered only 2 goals against this season which puts them in a tie for 2nd in the OUA East for fewest allowed. As Head Coach Kwesi Loney has said in past games, solid defensive play is what his team uses to set up their potent offense.

The road ahead doesn’t get easier for the Ravens. They’ll continue their road trip next weekend as they head down to Toronto to face a strong Varsity Blues squad. The Blues are sporting a 3-1 record and are nipping at the heels of the Ravens. The Blues are only a point behind CU in the standings.
