OTTAWA, Ontario – The Carleton Ravens finished the 29th House-Laughton tournament as champions with a 3-0 record after a 92-62 win over the Concordia Stingers in the weekend’s final game.
On the offensive side of the court, the Ravens had four players finish with double digits in points led by Eddie Ekiyor’s double-double (24 pts, 10 reb). Fellow starters TJ Lall and Munis Tutu posted 15 and 11 points respectively. Ekiyor was named a tournament All-Star following the game along with Tutu, who was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player.
For the Stingers, Cedrick Bryan was one of the game’s best shooters, going 5-10 and ended with 13 points. His 50% from the field was outdone only by Ekiyor’s 8-8 performance from the field, to go with his 8-12 game from the free throw line.
The preseason continues on the road for the Ravens next weekend. They will cross the border to face Boston University on Saturday, October 20 and Northeastern on Sunday, October 21.
