WHKY | Ravens to host prospects camp in May

Spring Prospect Camp:
During the two-day camp you will get a chance to meet the Carleton Ravens Women’s Hockey coaching staff led by Pierre Alain, experience Carleton University and its varsity women’s hockey program for an entire weekend and discover if this is the right fit for you.

When:
Saturday, May 4, 2019 – 12pm-8pm
Sunday, May 5, 2019 – 11am-6pm
Note: A detailed schedule will be sent out to all registrants at a later date.

Who:
Players born in 2004 or older who have not committed to another university and are interested in joining the Ravens hockey program

What to bring:
full hockey equipment
off ice sports clothes and shoes
water bottle

Registration:
All skaters (goalies see below)
must fill-out an online registration form (click here to register). For help with the registration process, see instructions at the bottom of this communication.

All goalies must email Pierre Alain (Head Coach) at pierre.alain@carleton.ca before registering. Your email should include your year of birth, year of high school graduation, and 2017-18 hockey team. There is a limited number of goalie spots for our camp and therefore registration will be by invitation only. Please do not register before contacting Pierre.

Costs:
There will be a cost of $160 for all players and goalies (to be paid online through registration). This includes:

  • ice time (min. of 3 hours)
  • meals (dinner on Saturday and lunch on Sunday), and snacks
  • access to athletic therapist
  • information session with our strength and conditioning coach
  • information session with our sport psychologist
  • campus tour
  • and a gift

Accommodation:
Please note that accommodations are NOT included.

Medical Form:
ALL players and goalies must fill-out a medical form (click here to open). This is a mandatory form – any player who doesn’t return this form to us during registration on May 4th will not be allowed on the ice – no exceptions. For confidentiality reasons we cannot accept medical forms by email.

Assistant Coach – Pier Martin

Pier has an extensive coaching resume having coached for over 18 years at all levels and different countries. Pier is a HP1 certified coach with Hockey Canada as well as Level 2 with the IIHF. He has spent the last 6 years focused on coaching in the girls hockey community in Ottawa, most recently with Carleton University as an assistant coach.

  • year of graduation (high school)
  • 2017-18 hockey team
  • 2018-19 hockey team
  • video clips or online links of your play (if available)
