OTTAWA, Ontario – The Carleton University Ravens Women’s basketball team defeated the Thompson Rivers University Wolfpack on the court this Sunday, October 6th by a final score of 94-32 to go undefeated at the McKeen Metro Glebe tournament.
With both teams engaging in some rough action, both catching a couple fouls, Ravens G/F, Tatyanna Burke, showed off her aggressive side on defence and offence with a slippery steal away from the Wolfpack and a foul to land her on the foul line for another two points.
That being only one of her many steals of the game, leaving the half time score at 51-17 for the Ravens.
With the score in high favour of the Ravens in their home gym in the 2nd half, things were not going the way of the Thompson Rivers University. To close off the third quarter, Burke made an and one, making the foul shot leading into the last quarter of the game.
The Wolfpacs started fouling the Ravens to buy more time on the clock to catch up to the score the Ravens had on them. This gave the Ravens women the opportunity to gain more points by sinking almost every foul shot they were given.
To close the game, Ravens G Emma Huff stole the ball in her own territory making an up-court pass to Ravens G, Dorcas Buisa for the final basket of the game making the end score 94-32 in favour of Carleton.
