TORONTO, Ontario – The Carleton Ravens conceded a late goal on Saturday afternoon, dropping a 1-0 decision to the Ryerson Rams.
“We played well especially in the second half. We again had numerous chances to score that we couldn’t capitalize on,” said Ravens Head Coach Dom Oliveri
The Rams carried momentum in the first half of the match, creating 9 shots, but were unable to find the back of the net. The Ravens were able to limit the Rams to just 3 shots in the second half, but ultimately conceded a goal in the 79th minute to Kaleigh McKye.
“It’s definitely frustrating that we have played so well defensively but have not been able to capitalize on our chances,” added Oliveri
“Our young players are getting lots of minutes this year and are learning these lessons, we will be better for it in the future.”
The Ravens will continue their road trip in Toronto on Sunday, October 12th when they take on the Varsity blues at 1pm.
