HOF | Call for nominations 2020 Ravens Hall of Fame

OTTAWA, Ontario – Carleton University Department of Recreation and Athletics is pleased to announce the call for nominations for the 2020 Ravens Hall of Fame Induction Class.

Carleton’s Class of 2018, the most recent Ravens Hall of Fame inductees, included:

  • Earl Cochrane (Athlete – Soccer)
  • Robert Laughton (Builder-Athlete – Basketball)
  • Terry McCarthy (Athlete – Men’s Hockey)
  • Harry Van Hofwegen (Athlete – Football)
  • Marianne White (Athlete – Water Polo)

2020 Ravens Hall of Fame Nominations

For this year’s nominations, any Carleton Ravens teammates, coaches, alumni and community members can nominate an Athlete or Builder for induction into the Ravens Hall of Fame.

To be considered for nomination, candidates must have demonstrated excellence in athletic achievement while at Carleton University, and must have competed or been involved prior to the 2013-2014 season.

All nominations for the 2020 Ravens Hall of Fame will stand for the 2020 and 2022 nomination period. Following the 2020 Hall of Fame induction, all nominees who were not selected to the 2020 Hall of Fame may be re-nominated for future consideration.

The 2020 Hall of Fame nomination period closes on Friday, April 17, 2020.

Save the Date

As part of Carleton’s Throwback – the university’s week long homecoming celebration (September 26 – October 3, 2020), the Ravens Hall of Fame Dinner will take place on Thursday, October 1, 2020.

About the Ravens Hall of Fame

Established in 1996, the Ravens Hall of Fame has honoured standout athletes and significant builders who have made a tremendous impact at Carleton University in both sport and community.

To date, the Ravens Hall of Fame contains 46 members; a composition of 35 athletes, 7 builders and 4 athlete-builders.
