WBB | Ravens announce trio of new recruits

Name: Teresa Donato

Position: Point Guard / Guard

Height: 5’7

Club: Ottawa Elite Juel

High school: Glebe Collegiate Institute

Short Bio: Hi my name is Teresa Donato and I was born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario. I have been playing basketball since I was 5 years old. I enjoy listening to pop and country music and my favourite basketball team is the Raptors. I will be studying Childhood and Youth Studies in the fall.


I chose Carleton because I loved the coaching staff, the team, and the environment. They make me feel like family already and I can’t wait to be a Raven. – Teresa Donato

Teresa is a dynamic and quick guard that will compliment our backcourt very well. She has great instinct, skill and feel for the game. We are ecstatic to welcome her to our program. – Head Coach Dani Sinclair


Name: Trudi Vaugahn

Position: Guard

Height: 5’10

Club: Transway Juel

High school: St. Thomas More

Bio: I was born and raised in Hamilton. I’ve been playing basketball since I was 7. I love to travel, read and listen to music. I will  be studying Commerce in the fall.


I chose Carleton because of the strong sense of family and togetherness. I am looking forward to becoming apart of that family and building my game. – Trudi Vaughan

Trudi is a tough and skilled guard who’s game will transfer well to the next level. She has good length and athleticism and a great understanding of the game. We are pleased to welcome Trudi and look forward to working with her. – Head Coach Dani Sinclair


Name: Alannah Exelby

Position: Small Forward

Height: 6’0

High school: Brantford Collegiate Institute

Club: Transway Juel

Bio: I am from Brantford Ontario and started playing basketball six years ago. I have always loved participating in many different sports but fell in love with basketball because of the energy of the game. During my spare time I love to be outside playing games with my siblings or going on walks. Come the fall I with be studying Human Sciences and looking to become an Occupational Therapist.


I chose to attend Carleton because of the tight family bond within the women’s basketball program and an education first mindset. I can’t wait to contribute and become a better basketball player as a Raven. – Alannah Exelby
