OTTAWA, Ontario – The Carleton Ravens golf team is promoting former Assistant Coach Alison Timlin to Associate Head Coach. Ravens Head Coach Dave McBain says Timlin’s expertise is deserving of a more prominent role with the team.

“I’m very pleased to announce that Aly Timlin will be assuming responsibilities as Associate Head Coach with the Carleton University Ravens golf program. For the past 2 years, Aly has made a significant contribution to the men and women athletes associated with our program.”

McBain adds he knows how much expertise Timlin has to offer, something he wants to keep around his team. “Her skill, experience and commitment were ever present and will continue for the foreseeable future. In addition to her touring pro experience, Aly is a member of the Professional Golfers Association of Canada and has full-time teaching responsibilities at the Kevin Haime Golf School here in Ottawa.”

Timlin says she is thrilled with the opportunity and looks forward to continuing to build the Ravens golf program.

“I feel my background as a professional golfer and former scholarship student-athlete, allows me to bring a wealth of experience to the program. I look forward to implementing new team building games and individual competitions to challenge each athlete.”
