On Tuesday evening, the Carleton Ravens swim team competed against the uOttawa Gee-Gees at the University of Ottawa pool. For the Ravens, the highlight of the meet was Cameron Teasdale qualifying for U Sports Championships in 50m breaststroke with a time of 28.76! Teasdale is the first Raven to qualify for the national championship since Thomas Lueng qualified in 2015-16.
In addition to Teasdale qualifying for nationals, he also broke his own school record, improving on his time from November by 0.61 seconds. In addition to Teasdale's success, two other varsity records were set at the event.
In the women's 4x50m Free Dina Egorov, Josephine Streppel, Katherine Archibald and Ella Milloy shaved almost a full second off the previous record, set in 2008, with a time of 1:52.93.
In the women's 50m backstroke Ella Milloy broke her school record by 0.04 seconds with a time of 31.20. Ella had previously set the school record in November.
