Guelph, Ontario - The Carleton Ravens track and field team appears destined to rewrite the record books. This weekend, Alexandra Telford and Alec Jefferey both broke Carleton records extending the number of new school records set in 2022 to three.
Alexandra Telford continued her impressive season breaking yet another Carleton Ravens record in Guelph. After nearly breaking her own 300m record again on Friday, Telford set a personal best in the 60m (7.70s) and a personal best and school record in the 60m hurdles in 9.15s. With her blazing fast times, Telford finished first in both events at the Guelph Open.
On Saturday, Alec Jefferey finished second in the men's shot put with a distance of 13.04m. The long mark also sets a Ravens record, passing Stephen James' previous record of 12.64m set in 2017.
