OTTAWA - The Carleton Ravens women's basketball team is pleased to announce the commitment of Jacqueline Urban. The Ancaster, Ontario, guard-forward will bring flexibility to the Ravens roster in 2022-23 as she joins the team from Lincoln Prep.
Urban brings an impressive resume to the Ravens having previously won a National Silver Medal as a member of Team Ontario. Urban is also a member of the Kia Nurse Elite EYBL team, the only EYBL team in Canada. Having played basketball since the age of 7, Urban brings a fast-paced transition game to Carleton where she'll be studying Psychology.
Urban is no stranger to the OUA, her sister Alexandra is a guard for the Guelph Gryphons and her father played rugby at Wilfrid Laurier. A former competitive soccer player and a high school volleyball player, Urban is excited to join the Ravens at Carleton.
"Feel in love with the campus and the city of Ottawa," she admits, but for Urban, it's about more than a place to study. "I'm looking forward to playing basketball at the university level on a team who is motivated to win a national championship."
