OTTAWA - The Carleton Ravens return to the RSEQ playoffs on Thursday night as they host the Bishop's Gaiters in the preliminary round. The Ravens will play their first playoff game since 2013 when they faced McGill in the RSEQ semi-finals.

The Ravens are 2-1 against the Gaiters this season, having recorded a pair of wins at home. On opening night, the Ravens spoiled the Gaiters first RSEQ game, after Stephanie Chouchani stored a first period goal to give the Ravens the lead, both teams would trade goals in the second with Emily Smythe's goal at 6:48 proving to be the winner.
In their first season in the RSEQ, the Gaiters gained their first win over the Ravens on home ice in November. After Nicole Hunter scored late in the first to tie the game for the Ravens, the Gaiters added two third period goals including the game-winner from captain Jessica Bélanger to squeak out a victory.
In the last meeting between the two teams the Ravens got a goal at 19:00 minutes of the first period and shut the door on the Gaiters holding on for a 1-0 victory. As Chouchani beat Gaiters goaltender Aglaé René de Cotret teddy bears came raining to the ice as the Ravens hosted their annual Teddy Bear Toss game. Goaltender Marie-Eve Côté made 22 stops in the game for the shutout.
