OTTAWA - The Carleton Ravens men's basketball team and head coach Taffe Charles are proud to announce the commitment of Evan Meyer. A 6'9" power forward from Oshawa, Ontario, Meyer will add a physical presence to the Ravens when he joins the team ahead of the 2022-2023 season.
A current member of Canada Topflight Academy West, Meyer is a true big who likes to stretch the floor and create for teammates.
Asked about why he chose Carleton, the future business student was quick to point out the program's ability to help him develop as a well-rounded student-athlete. "I chose to become a Raven because I believe this is the program that’s is going to be able to bring the best out of me every day on and off the court," said Meyer.
While the Ravens prepare to enter the playoffs Meyer will continue to hone his skills before joining the Ravens ahead of next season. The Ravens incoming centre looks forward to being fully immersed in the Carleton experience. "I most look forward to competing at a high level every day as a Raven as well as meeting new people whether that’s my teammates or fellow classmates."
While Meyer waits for his first introduction to the BirdGang, the Carleton Ravens continue their 2021-22 season as the OUA playoffs begin this week.
