Sherbrooke, Que. - Despite being a small team, the Ravens took a big bite out of the competition at the 2022 RSEQ Championship.
Ravens sprinter Alexandra Telford (Ottawa, Ont.) kicked off the weekend with a fifth-place finish in the 60m final in a school-record time of 7.72 seconds. In the men's 60m, Michale Pinnock (Ottawa, Ont.) qualified for the final in 7.19s before matching that same time in the finals on route to a fourth-place finish.
In the 300m Telford was in her element crushing the competition by over 1.1 seconds winning the gold in a school-record time of 38.74s. In the men's race, Pinnock clocked a 37.98s time - good for a top ten finish.
In the 60m Hurdles Alexandra Telford ran a blistering school record of 9.23s in the heats before crushing the field with an incredible time of 8.97s for the gold.
On the field, Alec Jeffery continued his excellent season breaking his own school record while collecting the RSEQ silver medal in the shot put with a throw of 13.33m.
