OTTAWA - The Carleton Ravens men's soccer team is pleased to announce the commitment of centre midfielder Michael Blight.
Blight, who was named Eastbourne Borough 2021-2022 Managers Player of the Year, says he immediately felt at home after visiting the team. "When I came for a taster training session I felt a real sense of family and community within the team," Blight explained.
Self-described as a box-to-box midfielder, Blight will look to make an impact on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball with a Ravens club that looking to return to the national championship tournament.
Well travelled, Blight who is from North Bay, Ontario, has honed his soccer skills around the world, having grown up in England, South Africa, Thailand, Sudan and currently residing in the United States.
The midfielder will join the Ravens for the 2022-23 season where he intends to study political science.
