OTTAWA - Ravens rugby co-captain Roberta Drummond has been honoured as Carleton University's Outstanding Graduating Female Athlete. The fifth-year scrum-half from Belleville, Ontario, helped lead her program to its first-ever RSEQ medal in 2021.
The award is presented annually to one female student-athlete who, through activity in Athletics, has exhibited throughout their career at Carleton University, a high and progressive standard of performance, participation and attitude, with emphasis placed on performance.
A biology student, Drummond is a two-time Academic All-Canadian and a member of Carleton's Varsity Council. Her 41 points were second on the team while her 15 successful conversions. She would add four more conversions in the playoffs, including a dramatic game-winning kick in overtime of the RSEQ bronze medal game.
With 83 career regular-season points, Drummond is third all-time in program scoring. The Ravens' 68th player in program history, she has played alongside nearly half of the student-athletes to take the field for the Ravens in the program's ten-year history.
