OTTAWA - Keaton Bruggeling doesn't even need to look for a new place to live after being selected in the 3rd round, 22nd overall by the Ottawa Redblacks in the 2022 CFL Draft. Bruggeling and teammate Cedrick Lavigne both heard their names called during Tuesday night's CFL Draft.
Bruggeling, of St. Catharines, Ont., had 17 receptions for 225 yards and 3 touchdowns in 2021. In week 1, the wide receiver burst out with 6 catches for 109 yards. The 6’3″ Bruggeling set career highs in 2021 for receptions, yards and touchdowns.
With the 65th pick, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers selected Ravens' third-year defensive back Cedrick Lavigne (Gatineau, Quebec). Lavigne had 11 solo tackles and 5 assists for 13.5 tackles in 2021. His 11 tackles were a career-high as Lavigne recorded 5.5 tackles over his first two seasons.
