OTTAWA - The Carleton Ravens men's hockey team have added forward Alex Johnston of the Ottawa 67s. Johnston is born and raised in town, having played his minor hockey in the Ottawa Valley Titans organization.
Prior to joining the 67s, Johnston was a 6th-round pick of the Soo Greyhounds. Johnston played one season with the CCHL's Kanata Lasers before joining the Hounds. In his final OHL season, Johnston had 9 goals and 13 assists in 42 games. Throughout his career Johnston recorded 64 points including 28 goals and 36 assists in 162 games.
"I chose to attend Carleton because I felt it was the best place for me to grow as a human, athlete and student" he said in a statement.
The Stittsville product plans to study criminology as a member of the Ravens.
