OTTAWA - The Northeastern Huskies have their first win in four visits to the Ravens' Nest after a 104-91 win on Saturday night.

The matchup was an opportunity for the Ravens to begin developing chemistry as players shifted into new roles, some making their debuts. After an even start, Northeastern put up 24 points in the second quarter to enter the half up by four. It was a lead they would not relinquish, getting hot to start the third before Carleton would close the gap to six with ten minutes to play. The Ravens rallied but couldn't overcome the Huskies strong shooting in the final quarter.
Despite the loss, there are positives for the Ravens as they found their groove shooting 52.9% in the fourth quarter. First-year forward Evan Meyer (Oshawa, Ont.) had seven rebounds and five points for the Ravens who were led in scoring by Aiden Warnholtz (Kanata, Ont.). Warholtz had 22 points to go along with seven assists. The U SPORTS Academic All-Canadian flashed well-established chemistry with fellow guard Connor Vreeken (Kingston, Ont.) who also chipped in 14.
In their debuts, first-year guards Marjok Okado (Calgary, Alta.) and Reginald Seraphin (Ottawa, Ont.) also had double-digit performances for the Ravens. The Huskies success was built on a deep roster that saw four players reach double-digits including Rashad King and Harold Woods each putting up big numbers off the bench.
The Ravens will look to earn their first win of the 2022 Can-Am Shootout as they take on the Florida State Seminoles on Monday.
