For the first time since 2019, a full slate of games will be played on campus to wrap up Fall Orientation. The Carleton campus has been bustling all week, reinvigorated with student energy and the same can only be said of what’s to come at TAAG Park.
Ravens rugby will get the festivities started on Friday night with a rare 4 PM start as they host McGill. The 2021 RSEQ bronze medalists are looking to build on a week one win on the road when they take on the Martlets. In 2021, Carleton and McGill met twice with the Ravens putting up big numbers over their feathered foes. Now, with bonus points available for points scored and point differential the Ravens will be ready to show up and show off in front of their home crowd.

Men’s soccer will need to take care of business on the road Friday afternoon before they can think about their upcoming home opener. The Ravens travel to RMC Friday afternoon for their second match in the Limestone City in as many weeks. After a strong 3-1 victory over the Gaels last week, the Ravens will look to stiffle the Paladins who had a rough start in their first game falling 9-0 to the Varsity Blues.
Those same Blues make the trip to Ottawa on Sunday to play in the second half of the Ravens soccer home opener. After spending 2021 in the Central Division, the Blues make their first trip to Carleton and TAAG Park since October 7, 2018, a game the Varsity Blues won 3-2. The last meeting between these two teams was back in 2019 when the Ravens beat UofT 3-1 at Varsity Stadium.

After a strong showing in a 1-1 draw at Queen’s last Friday, the Ravens women’s soccer team will host RMC on Sunday at 1 PM. The Paladins enter the contest looking for their first point after dropping their opener 3-0 to the Varsity Blues. The two teams met twice in 2021, playing to a 1-1 draw at RMC before the Ravens opened up for a 9-0 win in the return match at Carleton.
After a strong showing at home in week 1 the Carleton Ravens hit a speed bump in week 2 at UofT. Now, looking to put their loss behind them the Ravens will welcome the York Lions to TAAG Park. The Ravens (1-1) are right in the thick of the OUA standings, in a five-way tie every inch will matter. With tickets to Saturday’s game against the Lions selling quickly the crowd at TAAG Park promises to be in full voice. Carleton enters the contest led on defence by Shaiheem Charles-Brown. The week 1 U SPORTS Defensive Player of the Week. Charles Brown continues to lead the OUA in sacks with four, while the Ravens are second in the conference has got to the opposing QB eight times while also forcing four turnovers.
