Laval, Que. – The Carleton Ravens women’s rugby team suffered their first loss on Saturday afternoon falling 36-0 at Laval.
The Ravens had been undefeated since losing to Laval in last year’s RSEQ semifinals and looked to avenge the loss. However, the #3 ranked Rouge et Or stood tall against the Ravens, jumping out to a 22-0 lead in the first half.
Six different players scored tries for the Rouge et Or while the Ravens were shutout for the first time since September 22, 2019, when they lost 40-0 to Laval at Carleton University.
Carleton returns to action on Friday night when they travel across town to face the uOttawa Gee-Gees at Matt Anthony Field.
