In the final weekend of the regular season, Ravens soccer shined bright with Scott Mazzotta and Chloe Doiron taking home Athlete of the Week Honours.
Chloe Doiron scored twice in the Ravens' win on Sunday, helping the team to clinch home field for their OUA First Round match this Wednesday against Nipissing. The first-year forward from Dieppe, N.B. scored 14 seconds into Sunday's match before adding another first-half goal to help carry the Ravens past the TMU Bold. Doiron now has three goals on the season while the Ravens return to the playoffs for the first time since 2018.
On the men's side, Scott Mazzotta may have scored one of the fastest hat tricks in U SPORTS history on Saturday when he scored three goals in the games opening eleven minutes. Mazzotta scored goals in the 7th, 8th, and 11th minute to blow open the Ravens matchup with Trent. Not satisfied with his Saturday performance, Mazzotta would score again on Sunday notching his 9th goal of the regular season, good for third in the OUA.
