Carleton Ravens golf has swept Athlete of the Week honours as Ty Rouse and Claire Stoney both took home the awards for October 3 - 9, 2022.
On the men's side Ty Rouse won the Ravens/Blues Invitational at Trillium Wood with a two-day combined score of +1. The Dunrobin golfer is off to a hot start in 2022 and seems to finding his form just in time for this weekend's OUA Championship at the Hylands Golf and Country Club in Ottawa's South end. Rouse shot an even-par 72 on day one, followed by a one-over round in day two as he paced the Ravens to the weekend championship.
On the same course in Corbyville, Ravens rookie Claire Stoney continued an incredible start to her varsity career reaching the podium for the second straight weekend. The cognitive science student from Ottawa has lit up the field in back-to-back weeks bringing home a pair of bronze medals in the process. Stoney now joins her Ravens women's teammates at Hylands this weekend as they too look to make an impact in at the OUA Championship.
An honourable mention goes to Ty's brother Dylan who celebrated a hole-in-one during the competition.
