After a perfect 4-0 weekend at home, Carleton Ravens hockey has swept the Athlete of the Week awards for November 14-20. The weekly award presented by The Prescott was awarded to Ravens men's goalie Mark Grametbauer (Halifax, N.S.) and women's defender Nicole Macneil (Sydney, N.S.).
Starting on back-to-back nights, Grametbauer was exceptional for the Ravens making 58 saves while allowing just 2 goals as the Ravens extended their win streak to three. Grametbauer is now fourth in the OUA with a .930 save percentage, including a sparkling .959% in the last two weeks. The third-year Business major is now 6-2-2 on the season.
Ravens defender Nicole MacNeil played a central role in the team's two-win weekend scoring the game-winner on Thursday night against the Gee-Gees to go along with an assist each night. The Criminology student logged heavy minutes on the Ravens' backend as the team has now matched their 2021-22 win total in just the first 10 games of the season.
