OTTAWA - Carleton Ravens forwards Grant Shephard and Emma Kiesekamp have been named the first Carleton Athletes of the Week presented by The Prescott for 2023. The two forwards played big roles in the Ravens as the men's and women's basketball teams swept their weekend in Waterloo.
The senior forward from Merrickville was a force for the Ravens over the weekend. On Friday, Kiesekamp recorded 9 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists and 5 blocks. A performance which she followed up with 12 points, 9 rebounds and a block on Saturday.
Ravens forward Grant Shephard kicked off 2023 in a big way recording 44 points and 23 rebounds in two games. After opening the year with 25 and 7 on Friday, Shephard owned the pain on Saturday scoring 19 points while collecting 16 rebounds.
