Waterloo, Ont. - After heating up in the second quarter the Carleton Ravens ran away from the Laurier Golden Hawks on Saturday night completing the weekend sweep with a 68-50 victory.
Carleton trailed by four after the first quarter but quickly took over in the second quarter as Kali Pocrnic and Zerina Duvnjak combined for 11 points in the second quarter while the Ravens shot 50% from beyond the arc.
While the Ravens cooled off from beyond the arc in the third quarter they continued to shoot the lights out going 7-for-17 from the field and holding the Golden Hawks to only 25.0% shooting.
Playing the full third quarter Dorcas Buisa had a big impact for the Ravens scoring 7 points on 2-for-3 shooting and 3-for-6 from the line. Buisa also frustrated the Golden Hawks defensively generating two steals and a block.
The Ravens finished the night with three players in double-digits while Jacqueline Urban had 12 assists. Emma Kiesekamp followed up a strong defensive night with 9 rebounds of her own to go along with 12 points.
The Ravens return home on Friday night when they host the Ontario Tech Ridgebacks at 6:00 p.m.
