Carleton Athletics is proud to welcome the city councillor for Rideau-Rockcliffe Rawlson King for an afternoon in the Ravens’ Nest. On Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at 1:30 PM Councillor King will share his journey and experiences as the first Black Canadian city councillor in the City of Ottawa.
A proud Carleton alumnus, councillor King was appointed Council Liaison for Anti-Racism and Ethnocultural Relations Initiatives and was responsible for the creation of the city's anti-racism office and strategy.
All members of the Carleton community are invited to this talk and Q&A as we celebrate Mr. King’s achievements as a prominent Black leader in the Ottawa community.
