The Carleton University women’s hockey program has announced its intention to move to the OUA ahead of the 2024-25 season.
The women’s hockey program will continue to play in the RSEQ for the 2023-24 season before moving. Carleton will also continue to operate their varsity women’s rugby and club men’s rugby and track and field/cross-country teams in the RSEQ.
“We are excited for our program to join our other varsity teams in the OUA and have an opportunity to participate in the province of Ontario,” said Jennifer Brenning, Assistant Vice President of Recreation and Athletics. “We sincerely appreciate and thank the RSEQ for the opportunity to participate in their league for many years, first as a competitive club and when our team received varsity status in 2006. “
Carleton has one game remaining in the 2022-23 regular season when they face Concordia tonight in Montreal.
