In an absolutely dominant performance on the trail, the Carleton Ravens women's nordic skiing team claimed every medal they could while claiming the 2023 OUA Championships.
The Ravens claimed all three gold and silver medals and bronze in both individual events while seeing six of their racers named OUA All-Stars. On the men's side, the Ravens finished second, thanks to a great team performance, despite not claiming an individual or relay medal. Three Ravens were named OUA All-Stars on the men's side, while first-year head coach Kevin Shields was named the men's coach of the year.
Four different Ravens claimed individual medals, as Bronwyn Williams and Maggie McClure both doubled up with a pair of awards. Following up on a strong showing at FISU, Katherine Mason claimed silver on day two, while Helen McCulligh finished three seconds behind McClure for bronze on day one.
The Ravens' rode the momentum of their great individual success into Friday, where they swept the top two spots on the podium in the relay with Carleton teams finishing a full minute and thirteen seconds ahead of the next closest competitor.
