The Niagara River Lions called Carleton Ravens' guard Aiden Warnholtz (Kanata, Ont.) with their first-round pick in the 2023 CEBL U SPORTS Draft.
Warnholtz appeared in all 22 regular season games for the Ravens setting program records in assists and minutes played. In four seasons with Carleton, Warnholtz has established himself among the top players ever to don the Ravens uniform. His heroic performances at the 2023 Final 8 tournament earned Warnholtz the Jack Donohue Award as championship MVP.
After signing with the Ottawa Blackjacks in 2022, Warnholtz joins Ravens legend Phil Scrubb in Niagara. Warnholtz and the River Lions will face familiar competition in 2023 with Ravens alumni Alain Louis having recently re-signed in Montréal.
